Hi everyone! Yesterday was my youngest son's third birthday -- Yay Evan! So I thought I'd try a mani inspired by fun-fetti style birthday cake!!
I started with one coat of OPI Don't Touch my Tutu, a fantastic white jelly.
Next, I added one coat of OPI Rainbow Connection, a clear coat loaded with multi-color hex glitter in a variety of sizes.
I applied another coat of Don't Touch my Tutu for a jelly sandwich effect ...
But this just didn't quite give me the depth I was look for.
So I added one more coat of Rainbow Connection, and then two more coats of Don't Touch my Tutu.
I finished with one coat of SV. I am really happy with the final look of this mani! The double jelly sandwich really gave it a lot of depth! Evan had a great birthday weekend, and I hope you all did as well!
Happy Painting!!!
Loving the double jelly sandwich for added depth. It really is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove it! I have done the same with my OPI It's a Girl for a strawberry poptart look!
ReplyDeleteThat is a delicious looking mani! I'm kicking myself for not getting Rainbow Connection. I abstained because I already have two similar multicolor glitters (SephOPI Sparktacular! and Confetti Tasmanian Devil), but they just aren't as bright or chunky as RC. Dang it!
ReplyDeleteI have had this idea in my head for quite some time! I bought Don't touch my tutu! specifically for jelly sandwiches! Instead of Rainbow Connection, I bought Confetti's Tazmanian Devil. I prefer the glitters in Tazmanian Devil over Rainbow Connection.
ReplyDeleteI *almost* grabbed Tazmanian Devil for this one! I decided against it because of all of the micro silver glitter. It just wasn't quite what I was going for, but Rainbow Connection was!!!
DeleteNom! So gorgeous!
