Starry Starry Nails

Hi ladies!  I needed a mani to go with a dress I'll be wearing tonight!  It's black and white ... I know.  Huge shock, right?!  It's been ages since I rocked a glitter bomb, so ... .. .

I started off with two coats of Butter London The Black Knight, an awesome black jelly loaded with silver, blue, and pink micro glitter.  This is two coats with no top coat, so the finish is a bit gritty.  I adore The Black Knight, but it just wasn't quite sparkly enough.

I added one coat of Sally Hansen Strobe Light, a clear coat packed with light glitters.

Glitter bomb achieved?  I think so!

My oldest son, Taylor, saw it and said it reminded him of stars in the sky, so that gave me an idea!

I used Konad Special White with Cheeky plate CH26 for the star design.

For a little something extra, I used Sally Hansen Silver Sweep with the same plate image, and added one more stamp to my ring finger.

I finished with one coat of Cult Nails Wicked Fast.  The sparkles on my nails are nothing short of epic right now!!  I adore it!  I hope you enjoy ladies!!!

Happy Painting!
Colors: Butter London The Black Knight, Sally Hansen Strobe Light, Konad Special White, Sally Hansen Silver Sweep

  1. Oh Wow. I just posted The Black Knight on my blog today.

I also didn't "quite" like it. I should have done what you did though, added additional glitters to it!!! Duhh!!!
That totally transforms it! I was so sad, and didn't like the polish at all. Was already thinking of a swap. lol...

I'll have to try something like this next time.
This is a lovely mani. Gorgeous in every manner. Love the stamp.

  3. I just got the black knight, it's looked very sparkly in swatches until now. Hope I'm not disappointed! But I'd rather not layer any more on it, seems a waste of a pricey polish!

    1. Oh hunny - the only thing that would be rude about it is if you didn't make sure to show me pictures of how awesome they look when they're done!!!!!!
