Hi everyone! I am so excited to be showing you the newest collection from Elixir Lacquers ...
Lov-a-Bully
This set of seven was inspired by Bully breed dogs! 10% of each bottle sold will be donated to the Atlanta Bully Rescue, an organization that works tirelessly to reduce the number of unwanted bully breeds in Atlanta and surrounding areas by finding them their forever homes!!
Blue Coat
First up is Blue Coat, which was inspired by Norris, who was able to find his forever home, thanks to the Atlanta Bully Rescue!
Blue Coat is a deep navy blue with a dusting of holographic particles.

Smokey Coat
Smokey Coat was inspired by Sadie, who was able to find her forever home, thanks to the Atlanta Bully Rescue!
Smokey Coat is a deep charcoal grey with a dusting of holographic particles.

Spotted & Splotched
Spotted & Splotched was inspired by Bentley, who found his forever home with my amazing friends Ale and Eric, thanks to the Atlanta Bully Rescue!
Spotted & Splotched is a clear coat packed with brown micro glitter and white hexes.
Shown is one coat of Spotted & Splotched over Essie Sand Tropez.
Red Nose
Red Nose was inspired by Nola, who was able to find her forever home, thanks to the Atlanta Bully Rescue!
Red Nose is a clear coat loaded with fiery copper holographic micro glitter.
Shown is two coats of Red Nose over OPI Danke-shiny Red.
Brindle
Brindle was inspired by Lucy, who was able to find her forever home, thanks to the Atlanta Bully Rescue! She was even roomies with Bentley for a bit while she was fostered by Ale and Eric!!
Brindle is a clear coat packed with brown micro and orange holographic micro glitters, along with black hexes.
Shown is one coat over OPI Don't Pretzel My Buttons.
Happy Tears
Happy Tears was inspired by the beautiful eyes of sweet little Kieran, who found his forever home with my gorgeous friend Melissa, thanks to the Atlanta Bully Rescue!
Happy Tears is a slightly shimmery royal blue jelly packed with mini blue squares and white hexes.
Shown is one coat of Happy Tears over Sally Hansen Pacific Blue.
Forever Home
Forever Home was inspired by the amazing and selfless Atlanta Bully Rescue.
Forever Home is a clear coat filled with red hearts, mini blue squares, and black & white hexes.
Shown is two coats of Forever Home over Color Club Pucci-licious.

On a personal note, the very first dog I grew up with was a massive red nose pit named Zeus.
He was badly abused as a puppy. The mental stress of it caused him to break out into hives during thunderstorms, while he hid under tables. But he was such a joy for our family, and an all around wonderful dog.

DeleteActually Nicole came up with this idea when I asked her to participate in Atlanta Bully Rescue's Annual Fundraiser back in June. A week or so after the fundraiser she asked on a status for people to submit what colors they thought would symbolize their beloved pits. So to imply that she stole the idea is preposterous.

DeleteAmazing I am in complete love with the concept of this collection & the passion that went into it i am not yet a follower but soon will be once i am done commenting. you can truly tell the amazing amount of passion was put into the little details so the polishes would look like the dogs. I hate how almost every other year theres a new "DANGEROUS" dog, such as doberman, rotties, boxers & pitbulls, when all it truly is, is the human trainer. :(

ReplyDeleteSeriously Nicole, these are SO cool! The concept is awesome, AND the polish is beautiful! I'm also really impressed how you were able to make the polishes all really mesh perfectly with the dog it was inspired by, and at the same time make them all wearable and desirable shades beyond just "it's cool because it's helping a rescue".
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure if someone had asked me to put together a collection "inspired" by all these cuties there would be... a brown creme... a black creme... a brown-red creme... =D But... that would be exactly why I don't make polishes, I just buy them from people more creative them myself, like you! ; )
And seriously, how CUTE are all those pups!! How much for a bottle of polish that comes with a doggie? =) [Seriously though, if I lived in Atlanta... Well, I don't have the work schedule to be able to give a dog what it deserves, but I will be a dog owner someday, and I'll definitely be looking up a rescue in my area when that time comes]
