OPI Miss Universe Swatch, Review & Design

Hi everyone!  I have the amazing new Miss Universe trio from OPI for you today.  I loved it so much that I knew I had to create a mani with it right away!
(This is actually the mani I created for my birthday last Thursday!!)

I'm Feeling Sashy

I'm Feeling Sashy is a dusty medium purple creme.  The formula was smooth and easy to apply.  I really love this shade!  It's such a great muted color, but still delicate at the same time.
Shown is two coats of I'm Feeling Sashy.

Miss You-niverse

Miss You-niverse is a deep plum creme.  The formula was smooth and easy to apply.  I love how rich and regal this shade is!
Shown is two coats of Miss You-niverse.

This Gown Needs a Crown

This Gown Needs a Crown is a shimmering silver that OPI describes as a "textured matte".  This can actually be a little deceptive, since it is not the type of texture that you would immediately think of, nor did I ever see anything matte about this shade.  It is meant to mimic silver satin fabric, and it definitely does!  The formula was smooth and easy to apply.  This shade is absolutely gorgeous!

For my mani, I started with two coats of This Gown Needs a Crown on my index and ring fingers, and two coats of I'm Feeling Sashy on my middle and pinky fingers.

Using a porous sponge, I created a gradient over I'm Feeling Sashy with Miss You-niverse.  I reversed the gradient effects for a little bit of contrast.

Using my striping tape, I added some bold vertical striped over This Gown Needs a Crown with Miss-You-niverse.

For a few pops of jewels, I added a small silver rhinestone and a medium aqua rhinestone to the tops of my middle, ring, and pinky fingers.  I finished with one coat of SV.

I love the end result!  These colors work together so brilliantly!!

I hope you enjoyed today's post as much as I do!  Happy Painting!
