Smitten with Liquid Palisade

Hi everyone!  Today I have a mani that was created with the aid of Liquid Palisade!
For those of you who might not be familiar with it, Liquid Palisade is a rubberized liquid that you paint around the nail edges and cuticles before you start your mani.  It dries very quickly, so when you're finished with your masterpiece mani, you simply peel it off and you're done!  No clean-up needed!

I knew I wanted to try a gradient with the Liquid Palisade, since it's so easy to make a big mess when you're sponging.
After I applied the Liquid Palisade, I went with two coats of Smitten Polish Robin's Egg on my thumb, index, and pinky fingers, and two coats of China Glaze For Audrey on my middle and ring fingers, followed by one coat of SV.
You can see the Liquid Palisade drying around my fingers.  It was kind of liberating to not feel the need to be super careful!!

I used a porous sponge with Sinful Colors Pandora and China Glaze For Audrey to create my gradient.  I chose these colors because I thought they would work well with the Robin's Egg.
Look at that mess!  Yikes!!

Here is the result after I peeled off the Liquid Palisade!!  No mess left at all!  It peeled off so easily too!

I wanted to go a little further, so I applied some Liquid Palisade again, and used a small straw with Color Secrets Snow White for a few splatters, to add a little contrast.  It came off clean, with no polish left for me to clean up!!

I used some of my Born Pretty Store glequins to add a polka dot pattern for a little extra flash!  I finished with one coat of SV.

I really love the end result, but I think I was happier about the lack of clean up I had to do!!!

I will definitely be using Liquid Palisade like crazy from now on!  I can't wait to see how it measures up with a water marble!!  You can find Liquid Palisade at the Kiesque storefront here!!

Happy Painting!

  1. I have heard of this product! I'm so glad it works and lives up to its claim! I would love to see how it works with a water marble! Tape is such a pain to work with!

  3. I love this stuff, too! I ordered it immediately after I saw the creator on The Katie Show. The only problem is if you touch your fingers together, the Liquid Palisade will stick to itself and pull off.
