Christmas Grunge

Hi everyone!!  I felt like going with something a little different for a holiday mani today!!

I started off with two coats of OPI All I Want for Christmas (is OPI), followed by one coat of SV.

Using the syrup method, I added a grungy gradient look with China Glaze Keepin' It Teal, followed by one coat of SV.

I fished out some glitters from OPI I Snow You Love Me and placed them in a Christmas tree pattern on my ring finger, and then at the tops of my other nails.  I finished with one coat of SV to seal the glitters.

I love the end result!  It's definitely a fun and non-traditional look for the holidays.

I actually did this design for a pedi I wore to a Christmas party a couple of weeks ago.  I liked it so much that I knew I had to try it on my nails.

I hope you enjoyed!  Happy Painting!

Colors: OPI All I Want for Christmas (is OPI), China Glaze Keepin' It Teal, OPI I Snow You Love Me

  3. Awesome - great color combinations! Can I ask what the syrup method is? is the second polish a jelly? Anyways, terrificly non-traditional! ;)

    1. Yes, the second shade is a jelly. I have the instructions listed here in a guest post I did over the summer:
