Sea Worthy

Hi everyone!  I felt like doing something a little nautical today.  I think the realization that summer is winding down is getting to me, so I'm trying to hold on to it as long as I can!!

I started off with two coats of China Glaze Too Yacht to Handle on my index and pinky fingers, and two coats of Sally Hansen Pacific Blue on my middle and ring fingers.  I followed with one coat of SV.

I used the syrup gradient method with China Glaze Isle See You Later over Too Yacht to Handle for a sea glass look.

I placed striping tape horizontally over Pacific Blue and sponged on Adore Nail Polish To Have and To Hold for a faded nautical stripe look.  I followed with one coat of SV.

To add a little something to the sea glass look, I added two coats of Finger Paints Motley, followed by one coat of SV.

I paired Konad Special Black with Bundle Monster plate BM08 for the anchor design, and Konad Special Red with Red Angel plate RA-120 for the heart design, and finished with one coat of SV.

I love the end result!  It feels so fun and sea worthy!

The sponging over the striping tape really makes me think of sea spray as well!!

I really hope you enjoyed today's mani!!  Happy Painting!

Ruby Wing Sweet Cream & Chocolate Mousse Swatch & Review

Hi everyone!  I have two awesome Ruby Wing color changing polishes for you today!

Sweet Cream

Sweet Cream is a sheer shimmer coat that flashes from pink to gold indoors, and turns into a smokey purple with a pink shimmer in the sunlight.  The formula was smooth and easy to apply.
Shown above is two coats of Sweet Cream over white base indoors.
Shown below is two coats of Sweet Cream over white base outdoors.

Chocolate Mousse

Chocolate Mousse is a clear coat loaded with multi-colored flakes indoors, and turns into a deep berry with multi-colored flakes outdoors.  The formula was smooth and easy to apply, but the flakes are a bit textured and do take some finesse for a smooth finish.  But be cautious with your coats here.  If you apply it just the slightest bit too generously, you'll end up with a gloopy mess on your hands.
Shown above is two coats of Chocolate Mousse over white base indoors.

Color Club The Uptown & East Austin Swatch & Review

Hi everyone!  I have two awesome Color Club shades for you today!!

The Uptown

The Uptown is a medium blurple jelly loaded with flakes that shift from red to gold to green.  The formula was a little on the thick side, since the flakes are so dense, but it was still relatively easy to work with.  I absolutely adore this one!  It actually reminds me of Cult Nails Unicorn Puke, but instead of having different colored flakes, they just shift!
Shown is two coats of The Uptown.

East Austin

East Austin is a gorgeous neon peach creme.  The formula was smooth and easy to apply, but was a bit on the thin side.  I love this bright peach so much!  It's so sweet and fun to wear!
Shown is three coats of East Austin.

What Happens in Vegas ... Ends up on Facebook

Hi everyone!!  I have an amazing Girly Bits shade for you today!!!

What Happens in Vegas ... Ends up on Facebook

This is an amazing shimmering plum holographic with tiny iridescent purple sparkles.  I don't even ... I can't ... too pretty ...  GASP ...

*THUD*

As if this shade wasn't gorgeous enough, and as if this shade with a holo effect wasn't amazing enough - the purple iridescent sparkles??  Are you kidding me!??!?!  GAAAAAHHH!!!!!

The formula is rich and smooth and was so easy to apply!
Shown is two coats of What Happens in Vegas ... Ends up on Facebook.

I feel so weird when I'm not wearing any sort of nail art, but what happens when you just can't bring yourself to cover up your base color??

I used my Nailz Craze NC01 plate with Color Club Beyond for a simple peacock feather on my ring fingers.  I finished with one coat of SV.

I'm so sorry, I just couldn't stop taking pictures of this!!

I am so excited to wear this for the holidays as well?  How perfect is this for a Sugarplum Fairy shade!?

I hope you enjoyed seeing this as much as I enjoy wearing it!!  Happy Painting!

enJOYmint

enJOYmint is a beautiful mint holographic with delicate iridescent flecks.  This shade was inspired by Talia Joy, and is available through auction only.  All of the proceeds from the auctions will be donated to Base Camp for pediatric cancer research.  I think this is the most amazing mint shade I have ever worn!!
Shown is two coats of enJOYmint.

Canuck the Dots

Shown is one coat of Canuck the Dots over Lover's Coral.

Blue Eyed Beer Drinkin' Music Lovin' Lawyer

Blue Eyed Beer Drinkin' Music Lovin' Lawyer is a deep cobalt blue jelly loaded with blue and silver micro glitter, and micro iridescent glitters that shift from blue to green.  The shade was a collaborative design between Girly Bits and Wishes of a Blue Eyed Girl for her blog's first anniversary.  (She's an Atlanta girl like me!!  Yay!)  The formula was smooth and very easy to apply, and was surprisingly opaque for a jelly.  It's such a fun color to wear.
Shown is two coats of Blue Eyed Beer Drinkin' Music Lovin' Lawyer.

Off the Scale

Off the Scale is a clear coat loaded with micro glitters in a variety of blues.  The formula was smooth and easy to apply.  This is such a great super sparkly shade!

You Polish Swatch & Review

Hi everyone!!  I have some awesome You Polish shades for you today!!

Nail Polish Wars
Nope, I'm not attempting to shamelessly advertise myself, this one is actually called Nail Polish Wars!!  In addition to the full You Polish line polishes, they also offer custom shades!  When I was contacted about doing a review, I was also offered the chance to request a custom color, and within a matter of hours, I had pictures of this awesome shade that was exactly what I had asked for!!!

Nail Polish Wars is a medium teal crelly loaded with small white and pink hexes, medium purple holographic dots, and small iridescent glitters.  The formula was a little bit on the thick side for a crelly, but was relatively easy to apply.  I had to go fishing for the dots as well, but that's true of all larger glitters.
Shown is two coats of Nail Polish Wars.

Neither Here

Neither Here is a bright teal crelly shimmer loaded with black and white hexes, bars, and squares, as well as multi-sized hot pink squares.  The formula was smooth and easy to apply.  I love the graffiti look that this one has!!
Shown is two coats of Neither Here.

Stardust

Stardust is a deep indigo jelly loaded with purple and light pink stars, as well as holographic and iridescent glitters in squares, dots, and hexes in berry, fuchsia, and purple.  The formula was a bit on the thick side, but was relatively easy to apply.  I did have to go fishing for the larger glitters again, which actually proved to be a bit difficult.
Shown is two coats of Stardust.

Gourmet Fruit Salad

Gourmet Fruit Salad is a clear coat shimmer that flashes from pink to gold, loaded with multi-sized hexes and squares in black, white, yellow, green, and coral.  The formula was smooth and easy to apply.
Shown is two coats of Gourmet Fruit Salad over Pop Nail Glam Tangerine Taste.

Way to Neon

Way to Neon is a white crelly loaded with multi-sized neon hexes & squares in a rainbow of colors.  The formula was smooth and easy to apply.
Shown is three coats of Way to Neon.

Endless Summer

Endless Summer is a clear coat loaded and array of neon glitters, such as blue bars, multi-sized pink hexes, yellow hexes, and green squares.  The formula was relatively easy to apply, but the glitters did put up a bit of a fight here and there.
Shown is two coats of Endless Summer over Orly Boho Bonnet.

Blue in Green

Blue in Green is a clear coat loaded with neon green hexes and squares, and multi-sized bright blue hexes.  The formula was smooth and easy to apply.
Shown is two coats of Blue in Green over China Glaze Tart-y for the Party.

Painting the Roses Red

Painting the Roses Red is a clear coat shimmer loaded with multi-sized holographic hexes in bright blue and pink.  The formula was smooth and easy to apply.  I absolutely adore this one!!  It makes such a fun addition for almost any color!
Shown is two coats of Painting the Roses Red over Nicole by OPI Alex by the Books.

Pop Graffiti

Pop Graffiti is a clear coat loaded with a multi-sized rainbow of neon hexes and squares, black shreds, and silver holographic dust.  The formula was smooth and easy to apply, but I had a lot of trouble getting the glitters to come out of the bottle.
Shown is two coats of Pop Graffiti over China Glaze Too Yacht to Handle.

Party of Two

Party of Two is a clear coat loaded with multi-sized neon hexes, squares, and hearts in blue, teal, pink, and purple.  The formula was smooth and easy to apply, but I did have trouble getting any of the larger glitters out of the bottle.
Shown is two coats of Party of Two over Zoya Tru.

You can find these and other great shades at the You Polish storefront here, and be sure to check them out on Facebook for their latest collections.

Happy Painting!
