Nicole by OPI New Core Colors 2014 Swatch, Review & Comparison

Hi everyone!  I have the new core color additions for 2014 from Nicole by OPI for you.  A few of these shades looked a little familiar to me when I thought back on some recent collections, so I thought I'd do some comparisons as well.  I think this is the first time I've actually done this.  How did that happen?  Wow ... sometimes I really need to get with the program.

Always a Flirt

Nicole by OPI

Always a Flirt is a red toned magenta with a violet shimmer.  The formula was smooth and easy to apply.  I really like this shade a lot!  It's a perfect pop color!
Shown is two coats of Always a Flirt.

At Least I Pink So

Nicole by OPI

At Least I Pink So is a light pink creme.  The formula was a bit patchy for the first two coats, but evened out easily on the third.  I love how delicate this shade is!
Shown is three coats of At Least I Pink So.

Be Awesome

Nicole by OPI

Be Awesome is a clear coat loaded with multi-colored holographic diamonds.  The formula was smooth and easy to apply, but the diamonds do make you work for it a little bit.  To be honest, I'm not crazy about this one to work as a topper, but those glitters are just begging to be fished out for some nail art!
Shown is two coats of Be Awesome over Sweet Surrender.

Emerald Empowered

Nicole by OPI

Emerald Empowered is a metallic duo-chrome that shifts from blue to blue-green.  The formula was smooth and easy to apply.  I really like this one a lot!  The shimmer is just gorgeous.
Shown is two coats of Emerald Empowered.

Emerald Empowered vs. Candid Cameron
Emerald Empowered reminded me a lot of Candid Cameron, from the Modern Family Collection.  Candid Cameron might have a touch more green to it, but they're really close.
Shown below is two coats of Emerald Empowered on the middle and pinky fingers, and two coats of Candid Cameron on the ring and index fingers.

Fabulous is my Middle Name

Nicole by OPI

Fabulous is my Middle Name is a clear coat loaded with multi-colored fiber glitters and silver micro glitter.  The formula was smooth and easy to apply.  I didn't think I would like this one much, but it's actually a lot of fun to wear!
Shown is one coat of Fabulous is my Middle Name over Teal Me Something New.

I'll Have the Salmon

Nicole by OPI

I'll Have the Salmon is a light peachy pink creme.  The formula was smooth and easy to apply.  I am so into peach shades right now, so I immediately loved this shade!
Shown is three coats of I'll Have the Salmon.

Nicole by OPI

I'll Have the Salmon vs. Sweet Daisy
I'll Have the Salmon reminded me a lot of Sweet Daisy, from the Carrie Underwood Collection.  Sweet Daisy is actually a shade darker than I'll Have the Salmon, so they're definitely not exact dupes.
Shown below is two coats of I'll Have the Salmon on the middle and pinky fingers, and two coats of Sweet Daisy on the ring and index fingers.

I Shop Mintage

Nicole by OPI

I Shop Mintage is a light mint green creme.  The formula was smooth and easy to apply.  I adore this sweet shade!  It's just beautiful!
Shown is three coats of I Shop Mintage.

Nicole by OPI

I'll Shop Mintage vs. Alex by the Books
I'll Shop Mintage reminded me a lot of Alex by the Books, from the Modern Family Collection.  Alex by the Books leans a bit more towards blue than green, so they're definitely not exact dupes.
Shown below is two coats of I'll Shop Mintage on the middle and pinky fingers, and two coats of Alex by the Books on the ring and index fingers.

Oh That's Just Grape!

Nicole by OPI

Oh That's Just Grape is a cool toned medium purple creme.  The formula was smooth and easy to apply.  I love this shade of purple!  It's not too over the top, but still packs a punch!
Shown is two coats of Oh That's Just Grape!.

Nicole by OPI

Oh That's Just Grape! vs. Love Song
Oh That's Just Grape! really reminded me a lot of Love Song, from the Selena Gomez Collection.  To put it bluntly, they're dead on dupes.
Shown below is two coats of Oh That's Just Grape! on the middle and pinky fingers, and two coats of Love Song on the ring and index fingers.

Something About Spring is a medium pink creme.  The formula was smooth and easy to apply.  I love how bright this shade is!  It is the perfect bold pink!

Something About Spring vs. A Like-Haley Story
Something About Spring reminded me a bit of A Like-Haley Story, from the Modern Family Collection.  A Like-Haley Story is actually a bit darker than Something About Spring, so they're definitely not dupes.
Shown below is two coats of Something About Spring on the middle and pinky fingers, and two coats of A Like-Haley Story on the ring and index fingers.

Sweet Surrender

Nicole by OPI

Sweet Surrender is a pale blush pink creme.  The formula was smooth and easy to apply.  I like like this shade a lot!  The pink is very subtle and feminine.
Shown is three coats of Sweet Surrender.

Taupe of my Class

Nicole by OPI

Taupe of my Class is an olive toned taupe creme.  The formula was smooth and easy to apply.  I was surprised to see how much the olive stood out once it was on the nail.  I like it a lot, I just wasn't expecting the taupe aspect to be so subtle.
Shown is two coats of Taupe of my Class.

Taupe of my Class vs. My Jay or the Highway
In the bottle, Taupe of my Class reminded me a lot of My Jay or the Highway, from the Modern Family Collection.  Once I saw how olive toned Taupe of my Class was on the nail, I had a feeling it wouldn't be an exact dupe of My Jay or the Highway.  And I was right - My Jay or the Highway is a bit lighter and more taupe based.
Shown below is two coats of Taupe of my Class on the middle and pinky fingers, and two coats of My Jay or the Highway on the ring and index fingers.
