The Lacquer Legion: On Holiday

Hi everyone!  I have really been looking forward to this month's Lacquer Legion theme!  Every time I go on vacation, I always go for a fun mani with all of my favorite shades, so here's the design I came up with ...

I started with two coats of Sally Hansen Wet Cement, one of my favorite grey cremes.  I followed with one coat of SV.

I used the dry brush technique with China Glaze Thistle Do Nicely, OPI Taylor Blue, Pop Nail Glam Violetta, and Salon Perfect Oil Slick.

I really don't dry brush nearly as much as I should, because I just love this look - and it's so easy to do!!  To achieve the look, you simply wipe as much polish from the brush on the bottle neck as possible, and then wisp the brush down the nail.  Repeat this for every color, and finish with your top coat.

I just adore this mani!  I love the gentle pops of color and the way the black really makes it all pop!  I can't wait to see what next month's theme will be!
I hope you enjoyed!  Happy Painting!

Graffiti Gradient

Hi everyone!  I wore a cute periwinkle tank last week as a pop color to a black & white outfit, so I wanted something to go with the periwinkle and have a little bit of pop too, so here's what I came up with ...

KBShimmer

I started off with two coats of Nicole by OPI Yoga-Then-Yogurt and used a damp wedge sponge to create a gradient with China Glaze Secret Periwinkle and China Glaze Wait n' Sea.

KBShimmer

I wanted the gradient to stay a bit on the thinner side for more of an understated look, so I made sure to be careful with the amount of polish I used on the sponge.

KBShimmer

For the pop glitter, I added one coat of KBShimmer Scribble Me This, and finished with one coat of SV.

KBShimmer

I just love how well Scribble Me This stood out against the gradient!  This mix of glitters is just so much fun to wear!

KBShimmer

I hope you all enjoyed!  Happy Painting!
