Favorite Nail Art Designs of 2014

Hi everyone!!!  Happy New Year's Eve!!  I am so psyched to be closing out the year with my fifteen fave nail art designs of 2014!

To be honest, this mani started out as a quickie before I went out for the evening.  I could never have imagined how amazing these two neons would be over black.  It gave me such a great galaxy look!

I love anything and everything argyle, especially in my favorite colors!  I had so much fun creating this one!

This was another mani that started off as a quickie - and I loved it completely!  It had a drabby edge, but a little bit of a pop too!

The watercolor style gradient in this one mixed with the crackle was so much fun to wear!

Obviously, this one topped my list!  I'm usually excited to re-do my manis, but I hated taking this one off.  I loved hearing about all the different things people saw on each nail!

While the majority of this is pretty basic, this was my first attempt at making a stamping decal.  I really enjoyed it!

I love how well these shades worked together for this sprayed mani.

Skittle manis are always such fun for me.  I just loved the sweetness of this one!

This mani was born out of experiment, and I'm so glad I tried it!

Oh my gosh, there is nothing I don't love about the way this mani turned out.

This color combination is probably my fave of the year.  I just loved it!

I love random looks like this one, especially with a bold color splash!

This was my first negative space mani.  I had my doubts about the outcome while it was in progress, but I really liked it a lot.

I think this may have been the first time I went with a full nail ombré like this.  I should really do it more often.

This was definitely a fave!  It was so hard to stop staring at this one!!

It has been such a great year for polish!  I've had an absolute blast!  I really hope you liked my top fifteen nail art designs of 2014!  Have a fabulous New Year's Eve, and be safe everyone!
I can't wait to see what 2015 is going to bring!
Happy Painting!!

Favorite Indie Shades of 2014

Hi everyone!  Yesterday, I covered my favorite mainstream shades of the year, and today I'll cover my favorite indie shades.  This was infinitely more difficult, but I finally narrowed down my top fifteen choices.

This shade is just electric!  I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it in the bottle!

I just love this shade!  It's such a fantastic purple, and the sparse glitters really make it pop without overpowering the base color.

I found that I just kept reaching for this glitter!  It's like wearing graffiti!

This was such an easy pick for me.  This is just such a beautiful shade.

I really love this jelly!  It's jewel-toned and vibrant!

You knew this would make the list, didn't you?!  This may go down in polish history as my all-time fave for vampy shades.

I love this deep shade.  The micro glitters pop so well in it.

I am just crazy for this thermal!  It demands attention!

I'm so into muted tones, and this one is just perfect!!

How could I not include this little gem?!  I am mad for these awesome glitters!

I know, I know - I'm probably super biased here, since this is the collab shade for my third blogiversary, but it is such a great ethereal shade!

How stunning is this shade?!

This glitter topper is fabulous.  The satin white glitters paired with the black holographic glitters is just genius.

I love this soft creamy coral, and the hint of holo is just great!

This is another that I just kept reaching for all year long.  It's just so dreamy!

Narrowing down my list of indie faves was super challenging!  There have been so many amazing collections this year!!  I'll see you tomorrow to close out the year with my favorite nail art designs of 2014!  Happy Painting!

Favorite Mainstream Shades of 2014

Hi everyone!!  The time has come for my year end faves!  So let's kick it off with my top fifteen shades of 2014.  Why fifteen, you ask?  Well, I have no idea.  Stop being so freaking nosey.
So here we go!!!

This was such an obvious choice for me.  I find myself using this so often.  It's just such a beautiful color.  I really can't get enough of it.  I should probably get a few more back up bottles.

You all know I'm crazy for corals.  This has to be my definite fave for corals of the year - which is saying a lot because we saw so many corals this year!

I know, I was just as surprised as you are.  Reds are never my go-to pick, but this one just screams at me.  It's just so classic but there's something almost muted about it as well.  I love it!

This is another shade that I just can't stop using.  The name is just stupid accurate too, because it packs such a punch!

This peachy orange is just so hard to look away from.  It's creamy and bold and such fun to wear!

Aqua is my color, clearly.  Aquas were pretty big this year - no complaints here - and this one just stood above all the rest to me.  It's beautiful!

I love everything about this one.  It's like wearing newsprint - and that's just awesome.

I didn't think this would be a fave when I first wore it.  But they soft grey undertone really hooked me.

This is just a stunning shade any way you look at it.  That golden shimmer is just amazing.

I think this shade has more depth than the freaking ocean.  It just sparks!!

This is definitely my favorite mainstream glitter topper.  Those inky black hexes mixes with the iridescent hexes makes for such an eye-catching look.

I really didn't think of this as being a fave for me, until I realized just how many times I wore this one this year.  It's a great texture, and the color is so different from all the other textures released this year.

I knew this green would earn a fave spot the minute I saw it in the bottle.  And it's a jelly!  How great is that?!

This dusty pink would have been fantastic on it's own, but that green shimmer really raised the bar!

How beautiful is this one?!  I mean, really!!  It's so sweet and feminine.

So there you have it!  My top mainstream shades of 2014!!  I'll see you tomorrow for my fave indies!!  Happy Painting!
